Look for giant lobelias and grounsels. Then descend to Mandara hut for lunch. After lunch the hike back to the gate starts then drive back to Moshi (about 1 hour).

Tour Itinerary
After breakfast you will meet our mountain guide and drive to Kilimanjaro National Park Gate, after registration the hike will commence. It will take you 3 hour through the rainforest to reach to Mandara encampment. A side trip to Maundi Crater is a good way to see the surroundings including Northern Tanzania and Kenya. How much time do I need to climb Mount Kilimanjaro?

We recommend a minimum of eight days from the USA and Europe, although some people may wish more time for the trip. We can customize itineraries or routes to offer more days in the park(s). Some people may wish to climb nearby Mount Meru as well. If you have more than eight or nine days, you can choose any of the main routes on the mountain and still have time for a wildlife safari before or after your trip.
